We believe that until now, the immobiliser market has solely focused on the prevention of unauthorised access to a vehicle. Whilst we understand the importance of preventing criminals from accessing your vehicle, we also have concerns regarding the eligibility of vehicle owners.
As a driver eligibility immobiliser, E-mobiliser prevents banned, disqualified, and uninsured drivers from mobilising a vehicle, whilst also encompassing safety features to prevent unauthorised access from criminals.

Allow the owner of the vehicle to remove access of another person at the touch of a button. This would be to prevent domestic related theft of motor vehicles, for example where an ex-partner may have once had legitimate access to the vehicle via a spare key and being a named driver on the insurance.

WHAT WE AIM TO DO
By initially focusing on vehicle owner eligibility, E-mobiliser aims to eradicate the 1 million uninsured drivers currently driving on UK roads, which equates to around 4%. Why is this important? As of November 2022, uninsured drivers cost the UK economy nearly £2.2billion which includes property damage, cost of healthcare to the UK taxpayer, cost of emergency services attending collisions and loss of earnings. This, in turn, has increased insurance premiums.

MAKING YOUR DRIVING EXPERIENCE AS SAFE AS POSSIBLE
To make our roads safer and smarter, E-mobiliser believe it is essential for Law Enforcement to know the identity of the driver of a vehicle at any given time. This would prevent drivers from giving false details if involved in a road traffic collision or motoring offence.
Currently, this data is not available. Law Enforcement can see who owns a vehicle and who is on the insurance policy but is not able to ascertain who was driving that vehicle at the time of an offence. With the use of E-mobiliser technology, any eligible driver can only mobilise one vehicle at a time, meaning they aren’t able to start a vehicle and allow someone else to drive it whilst then also driving a vehicle themselves. With E-mobiliser it is physically impossible for one person to register as driving two vehicles at the same time.
